In February 2002 Anky van Grinsven started
riding Osmium. She was planning to start Osmium in the zz class (just below Prix
St. George) at the beginning of 2003 but due to an accident that caused Anky a
broken leg, that made her unable to ride for some time.
Hans Peter Minderhoud is going to start riding Osmium under the supervision of
Sjef Jansen. Hans Peter Minderhoud will start with Osmium in the zz class this
year. Osmium started in Uden and Giesbeek in class M. Both times Osmium was the
absolute winner.
Osmium won in the weekend of 1, 2 and 3 February 2001 the stallion competition
in Den Bosch where he scored 12 points above the number 2.
Osmium won the Pavo Cup finals with 557,5 points in the weekend of August 26th
and 27th of the year 2000.
On the Pavo Cup were 2 guest riders that had to ride the 5 best horses. One of
those guest riders, Holga Finken from Germany, gave Osmium 100 points for
handling which is the highest number of points achievable! The other 4 guest
riders gave him 95 points. In the end Osmium was 35,5 points ahead of the second
horse.
The pedigree of Osmium is a fantastic one with sire Olympic Ferro, a dream of
every dressage fan. The next stallion in the pedigree is Calypso I. This is also
the sire of Chacomo, owned by Alexandra Simons de Ridder, placed in the golden
team of Germany during the Olympic Games of Sydney 2000.
Great grandfather is the super thoroughbred Ladykiller XX, well known as sire of
the millionaires. Landgraaf I and Lord X completes the list of leading stallions
in the pedigree of Osmium.
Osmium is a symbol for unique offspring, natural abilities,
a very good character and a wonderful colour!
